Monumental (ThursdayTreeLove)

This magnificent Ficus is growing at the entrance of the Ellora Cave complex. The winter morning sun streamed in through the leaves and aerial roots creating a pattern on the ground. My humble phone camera was unable to capture the full glory but I think this image gives a general idea!

A monumental tree at a UNESCO World Heritage site. What a wonderful coincidence!

    What a glorious capture! The tree stands so regally in the frame, making its' presence felt all around. And, the sun rays just added to the overall magic created by your lens. :)

    Beautiful! Ficus trees are amazing. We had a couple in our school yard and I remember eating the fruit from the ground in spite of being told to be careful of worms in them!

    I think I have seen this tree :) We visited Ellora this December and the compound was beautiful. You are right. The morning capture is beautiful and the sun rays make the tree look even more beautiful.
