Twisted trunk |
One of my first posts on the ThursdayTreeLove was Sleeping Trees that I saw in Moscow. Just as I could not figure out the reason for those 'sleeping' trunks, I simply cant find an explanation for this.
Here is another image.
Bonsai artists often 'wire' trees for which they face a lot of criticism. Surely no such intervention was done here. Yet the trunk has acquired wonderful curves that simply will stop you in your tracks.
What do you think?
I am joining Parul in her #ThursdayTreeLove39 bloghop. Do head over to see some amazing trees from around the world.

I've never seen such a tree, either. In the southern United States there is a tree called the live oak which can live for hundreds of years - the old ones will be multi trunked but not quite twisted like that. One unusual tree - thank you for sharing it with us.
@Alana Happy to share! :-) I must try to look up the Live Oak on Google...
It is beautiful. I saw something similar in Lalbagh in Bangalore last week! Nature is amazing!
Strange are the twists and turns of trees aren't they? What really made this tree so crooked?
@Vidya - Lalbagh is an amazing place.. a place to learn!! Thanks for stopping by :-)
@bellybytes I am quite fascinated about the reason for these twists.. Till now, I have seen such severe curves on branches that have been 'wired' but this seems totally natural.. I must try to speak to someone from that place... Thanks for stopping by Sunita!
That is amazing. I have seen such trees and I love them for being a perfect representation of survival. Thank you for joining. I am so glad to joined and shared this tree.
Glad to see this twist and curves... have never seen a tree with so many curves:) for me this looks like a dancing tree, spreading itself with different poses:) thanks for sharing.
Happy to participate Parul!
