Campus Trees (ThursdayTreeLove)

Last year, I had the fortune to visit Stanford University, an Ivy League institute that needs no introduction. I was in awe of the majestic buildings and beautiful campus.

The majestic trees added to the intense academic and intellectual aura of the campus.

Here is a glimpse of some of the trees.
Memorial Church

Hoover Tower

The iconic Palm lined driveway

An Oak with fiery russet Fall foliage

Possibly a Pine. This huge trunk had split into four at the base itself.

Pleasantly surprised to see a hedge of Pomegranate. The trees were laden with fruits!!

The dramatic white trunk was eye catching. A Sycamore perhaps??

A couple of the stone spheres at the Engineering and Science Quad

As before, I was unable to identify many trees but that did not matter.

The vast campus would have many treasures from the plant kingdom making it the ideal place to study and research.

I am joining Parul in her ThursdayTreeLove bloghop. Head over to see fantastic trees from around the world. Better still, join in.

Many colleges have beautiful campuses. California has such a range of different climates. Oaks and pomegranates in one place - I would like that.

Such interesting diversity at the university. The white patchy barked tree does resemble the sycamore I have in my backyard though mine has light gray bark. The split trunk is interesting. I've never seen a pine do that, but anything is possible.

Thank you @JoAnna. I have a photo of the canopy of the quadruple trunk tree but it's not very clear. Maybe that will help is it.

Stanford's Palm Drive is a beautiful sight. All of the campus is lovely with all those trees and sculptures, and fountains, the mosaics on the church and all. :D Did you get to catch the views from Hoover Tower?
